I'm bald, sweat like a pig and have oily skin. Like you I feel sorry for the dumb *** that takes mine. Hell, it grosses my wife out looking in it and she wouldn't even touch it. Therefore I hang it on the bars.

 

Same helmet lock that Schumacher has. Before that a small cable lock. Still carry the cable lock. Thread it through the leather jacket arm and to the bike.

I bring mine into the break room and put it on
top of the coke box to protect it from the sun light
when I am at work other than that it goes on the mirror
hell no body would want it

 

The idiot who steals your helmet doesn't want it for himself, he wants to pawn it for 5 bucks.

 

First time I owned my Sporty...I was a naive biker and had HD DOT Approved helmet. Was very protective of my items in the past.

I currently wear non-DOT approved helmet, just don't give a damn these days and leave helmet on my Ultra seat at all times.

They make a lock that mounts to your frame with non reversing screws. I had one on my last bike. Costs like $10.00.
