V-Rod or Road Glide???
Hey Everyone,
I have a dilemma. Not a horrible dilemma but a dilemma nonetheless. Sadly and totally unexpectedly last month my dad passed away from cancer. When he died he left me the choice of either one of his Harleys, a 2005 Scremin Eagle V-Rod or a custom 2006(I believe, maybe 2007) Road Glide.
The only problem I have is that I can't really decide which bike to take. I know... some problem. Anyway I have yet to ride either bike and they both are really sweet rides. I've been leaning more towards the v-rod because I really like the slick look of the bike. Also, I'm not really big into fairings and I know the fairing on the v-rod came be removed quite easily whereas the Road Glide's fairing is permanent from what I understand(correct me if I'm wrong).
So I'd really appreciate any input on this matter. Tell me which bike you would choose and why!! Thanks!

Darling, that ain't a V rod, that's a Electra glide. Certainly not a Rod. Get the E-glide, the RG is, well, fugly.
Condolences for your dad. Keep your head up, and honor your ol man by riding hard.

Not 100% sure but I think there is some one who makes a kit to put full size bags on the VROD to make it look more like a Roadglide. I would freakin love to have a RoadRod. The E- Glide looks badass too.

Condolenses on the loss of your Father.
Now, down to business. I too was fooled by that Road Rod.
The V-Rod would be a conversation starter, that's for sure. But it certainly won't be a comfortable bike for any long rides anywhere. Would be a great bar hopper, and some short rides like to a neighboring state. But for any really long rides, you can't beat the Glide.
If it were me, I'd go for the Glide.

Sorry to hear about your dad Quick. Welcome.
Frenchie, that looks like a V-Rod to me. Never seen one w/a fairing.
If I had the choice, I'd take the RG. I like the way it looks better.
And if your years are correct it's newer.
