New Custom bars on 09 Road Glide (Need your opinions)
#11
The custom ones look better, but I don't care for the look of the bars. It might be the points I don't care for. Something about them though...hmmm. I do like the thickness of the custom bars though. They look ALOT better than the heritage bars.

I am not diggin' those gut ripping spikes on top. The diameter and overall shape is nice, just not a fan of the spikes. I think the RG has nice smooth flowing lines and that one feature just draws the eye in away from the overall bike.
Than again, I am a big fan of comfort and that wins out over looks everytime.

These are much more comfortable than a Road Glide, Road King, or Heritage bar. Having said that, I do agree that the bars are distracting to the overall bike. I love these bars but I think they would look sick on a softail or custom.

At first, it wasn't doing it for me. I have gone back to the pictures 5 or 6 times now and I have got to say, I like em espically from the front and rear pics . Very unique in a badass way on a shark nose. If it were me, and this is only my .02, It would be the customs on the bike.
edit: went back and looked again...the bike looks evil with the customs. It's the best way I can describe it. Yes I like em.

I have to honestly say that I don't like either set of bars... but I would like to see your primary blacked out! Good luck with whatever selection you make.... love most of your bike!!

you have to remember that neither of these bars have the mirrors, controls or brake/clutch levers on them so they look pretty bare. In fact, the heritage bar is almost identical to the Road King bar I had on it which looks like this:

Nice!
The first couple shots of just the bike made them look a bit too tall IMHO.
But they seem to fit you well and look right when you're on it.

Being new in town, I hesitate to say anything negative...but since you asked, I just don't like the look. That bike wants either a short, narrow bar, like a t-bar with maybe a 6 inch rise, or else a narrower version of a "beach bar" of something. Those look weird.
But I've been thru 4 different bars on my Dyna, so obviously I'm not a good judge of what works and what doesn't (alas).
