I never set mine when I'm out riding. That makes it easier for them

Know your gun laws before 'squeezing off rounds' for
someone trying to steal your bike. You may have made the post in jest...
but in some places, there are times you can 'squeeze off', and sometimes
you can't.

But like others said...if someone wants my bike bad enough, they might get it.
My bike is protected by insurance. My home and the beings inside....protected by
other stuff.
Just saying, that having a weapon comes with a BIG responsibilty.
Just because someone is stealing from you....does not necesarily mean
you can shoot them. (you probably already knew that....)

Yea that sounds like a sane idea; BBQ some little kid admiring your bike!

Good thing they aren’t made in China…Wally World would be selling them right next to the toxic toys and poison dog food!

Yeah if they really want it they will get it alarm or not when you are on the road, yes they can put one in a van or truck very quickly, but I'd still rather have my alarm than not,,, as far as I know there's no way to disable the alarm even if the battery cables are cut.

I don't know about other areas, but if you break into my house or my shop you've took your own life into your hands if I'm home,,, that's a line that here in the south that if you cross then you get what you deserve,,, jail or worse,,, that's just the way it is.

We had a local elderly guy that lived out in the country,,,, some punks thought was he gone,,, WWII vet,,, they broke into his home,,, he took them out,,, jury ruled in his favor,, should have never went to court,,,, I have no sympathy for thieves,,, most would kill you in a heart beat rather than go to jail.

Is the alarm battery backed up or capacitor? Makes a difference on how easy it would be to disarm. Too tired after working last night to bother looking it up.

I keep my keyfob in my pocket on the ring that contains my house keys, truck key, etc.. If the fob is left with the key while you are riding, it moves around and hits the frame. That can cause marks on the frame and possibly damage the fob internals.
