The Brother Speed MC had an bad wreck on I-5. 26 bikes crashed amazingly no one was killed in the melay.

I was amazed that there was no fatalities. I know that I-5 in this area at times will go from 55mph to a abrupt stops. That appears to be what happened causing a crazy chain reaction.

Listening to the eye witness report he stated traffic was light and the SUV slammed on its brakes in front of the motorcycles.

How would you like someone to slam on the brakes in front of you?

Maybe they were too close but if that eyewitnesses report is true then the crash would not have happened if ti wasn't for the action of the SUV driver, which would make it the SUV drivers fault.

 

The eyewitness stated that the driver in the SUV in front of the pack of bikes slammed on his brakes in light traffic. WTF is with that?

 

From the interview it sounds like the SUVs just locked up their breaks for the hell of it. I sure hope I'm wrong on that though.

 

The Brothers Speed and the Outsiders are the two most well known so called "Outlaw" biker groups here in Portland Ore. The ones injured were from Idaho comming here for a Rally of some sorts. What happened could have happened to any club i guess. But the club im a part of practices staggered group riding, distance and how to aviod the "Accordian effect" as best we can. Not sure how much this group practiced group riding, or if it would have made a differance in this case at all.

 

Gotta love riding in packs... Not!
