Default Oil Level

I have a LCD Oil Temp/Level Dipstick (PN: 63046-07A). I don't trust the read out, so I use it manually (by pulling it out and seeing where the oil level is on the stick. It is about half way between the add quart line and the full line. Should I add a 1/2 quart or just wait until next oil change. By-the-way, the display states the same.

Arrow what the manual says

If cold just use the mark as a reference; don't add oil unless really low.

Always check your oil hot, on the jiffy stand. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, then if it looks low add to the upper mark only.

It was warm at the time. Will take it for a ride and check when I get back home. BTW... I just check it cold and is about half-way between fill & full lines
