Engine Heat question

Naaaaa....that is more in case you go down you don't lose as much skin. Also for protection from wind slapping your jeans around for hours at a time.
In the summer in city traffic it [the heat radiating from the engine] can become a bit much when standing still for long periods of time. In the winter it is a plus -- sort of a built in hand warmer

Heat coming off the pipes is the reason I dont wear shorts and flip flops anymore. The only reason I wear leather is to keep some emergency room wannabe that got their degree at Helga's House of Pain from picking asphalt out of my ***.

In the mid-day when it's nice and sunny out here in Guam stuck at a light it feels like my kids are cooking. I sometimes wish we had a winter season here but then I hear about having to put your bike in storage for the winter...forget that I love being able to ride year round.
