beat me to it. It is alot safer than putting them on the handlebars.

Kind of hard for me to get my feet up by the handle bars, could be uncomfortable. Really what i mean is will they leave marks on the bars if I dont like them?

It's the leg cramps I hate. And, if my wife scratches me behind the ears it makes my right leg kick; putting us into the shoulder.

yes, they will leave marks. You want to have the bike upright and figure out right where you want them before you mount them. the 360 brackets give you some adjusting room without having to move the mounting clamps.
