Default How do you handle this?

Quite often I get asked to take someone for a ride.

I try to say no nicely and explain I only give my family rides. Ussually they keep on asking. That's when I have to lay down the law.

There is no such thing as a free ride!

What does everyone else say?

In my case it's pretty easy, "I don't think my wife would like that."
If it's kids asking, tell them they are too young.

You don't want to take anyone with you if you are uncomfortable with it.

I just tell whoever is asking....
"This ain't no E-Ticket ride"

Most understand... the rest just have a stupid look on their face....

Solo seats work the best. If not, try "only insured for the operator" or "need a note from your Mother first" also works. If all that fails tell 'em you just passed your driver's test an hour ago after 32 tries.

My insurance does not cover passengers. And it doesn't my case.

I only carry one helmet so if anyone asks, I politely say no since I don't have helmets for both of us.

No funny comebacks if someone asks me. I just say no!

Don't really have problems with people in general asking for rides. I did have a former co-worker keep asking me if I would let him take my bike for a ride. I finally had to tell him he could ride my bike right after I got done riding his wife. He never asked again.

His wife was hot though, would have been tough if he'd have called my bluff.
