Yeah a VROD, putting out 110 or so RWHP and weighing about 615 lb, well that is surely pitiful for a V-twin.....Why you could get a nearly 900 lb V-Twin Harley Ultra and be putting just shy of 64 RWHP in stock form. I am sure you would blow on by the VRods.
Your kidding right, have you ever ridden a VRod. Don't get me wrong I love my bagger but it doesn't come close to running as quick as a VRod.

I have a good friend who has owned several Harleys over the years and he likes his V-Rod better than any. I guess different people have different tastes.

I've owned 2 vrods as second bikes. A 2003 vrsca and a 2005 vrscse. IMHO, the quickest, best running HD made. Actually miss having one. Considering a new one with the lower prices. Would not have one for touring, but these are a great around town scoot.

Oh my - the v-rod is (IMNSHO) mis-marketed. If you want a grunt crusier, move the power low. It you want a sport bike, rev the hell out of it. But as it stands, its neither - sales are up as it finds a market, but...

Touring - Give me 120ft/lbs TQ at 3K
Sport - Give me 150hp at 6K

This is possibly a strength because there are lots of grunt crusiers and sport bikes. The middle ground is unoccupied and may represent an opportunity. Or maybe not. Let's see how long they keep it in the lineup.
