I like that they put on a "dummy" carb to camouflage the efi.

I understand that triumph rocket III is a great machine. 2300 CC 140 hp, 147lb- ft of torque . I've only seen one so far around here on the roads though. He stopped into a bar I was at. I looked it over it looks pretty good.

My next bike will be a Triumph Thunderbird as soon as they get the bugs(if any) worked out. Friend of mine once told me to "Never fly/buy the A model of anything" and I agree.

That's a good philosophy. I did it with my 84 Softail and fortunately only had a couple of problems. Also did it with the one I have now but no issues yet. Of course the fact that I've only been able to put 25,000 miles on it due to being on the road for work so much might be why I haven't had any problems yet.

On further reflection, It is just a heratage with a springer so I guess I should be OK.

I would definitely like to have a Triumph in the garage. Always loved the Bonneville-one of the first street bikes I had the pleasure to ride!

Nothing wrong with Triumph in my book. A co-worker has a Speedmaster and he loves it.

Good job.

I like the Triumphs... so much that before buying the softail, I had decided on a Speedmaster. I went in to the dealership ready to drop MSRP on the bike, and they left me standing in the showroom for 45 minutes after I made my offer.

On the plus side, I don't think I would have been happy with the Speedmaster. At least not as happy as I am with the softail.

A riding buddy has a Rocket, and that bike's a beast. He loves it, but has had a lot of issues with the local dealer. If the dealer didn't have such a bad rep around here, I'd bet there would be a lot more Triumphs on the road.
