Here's a couple taken of my face. You can see the swelling right down to my jaw line but it wasn't until all the swelling went down that I could see the three marks in my face where it stung me. Their all grouped within a half inch of each other and my neck is now swollen much the way my face was last week. It isn't fun getting stung in the face...trust me!

Buds were all saying it looked like I got popped in the face during a scrap. Ahhhh memories of my younger days! lol

For the giant cicada killer wasps I had last year that musta been half blind ......

I wear a half helmet and something stung me on my left ear last month. It swelled up and itched for 5 days. I know I looked a little stupid with one big ear.

 

Did your pipes sound better thru that ear?

 

I saw some guy jumping around on the road and his bike was parked. I stopped to help and he said a bee went up his SHORTS and stung him. I just laughed and said "Sorry about your luck". Real bikers don't wear shorts.

 

Last month - I am driving down the road on a Sunday morning - with Mama on the back. All of a sudden she starts dancing and flailing around and screaming to pull over. A wasp went down her shirt and stung her 4 times - not good
I think these things are more numerous and sting easier than in other years.

 

When ever I get my bike out of winter storage, the first thing I do is to get rid of all of the wasp nest. J/K

Having a 3/4 helmet and windshield doesn't always do the trick but it does lessen the chance a bit, I was taking a trip from Florida to Georgia when I got slapped in the throat by a wasp or hornet doing 75 and it slapped me so friggin hard I tought I was going to come off the bike, that darn thing just slipped in between my helmet and windshield at the right place and popped me BUT GOOD!!! The better half didn't even know what happened until I got my wits about me and pulled over to show her, I just keep soem OTC pills with me in a little medical kit just in case now....
