My sister called my Sunday about a bike accident she saw south of Baltimore. It was two crouch rockets racing. She came upon the scene just after it happened. One was killed. She said a car had stopped and directing traffic around the body parts lying in the roadway.

Sad...

It seems, by the report, that Mr. Smith may have been over-driving the roadway.

To many riders do come up to these roads and over drive them. Just got to leave the look'n to the passenger and watch the roads. I moved up here 11 years ago and have seen or just missed way to many wrecks, both riders and other vehicles at fault. There is a lady still in the hospital for the last 3+ weeks when her husband ran under a pickup.Killed him.

We will never know for sure what caused the accident. What we do know is two fellow riders passed into eternity last Friday. I feel sick about that. They had family and friends who will miss them beyond what my words can express. My condolances to the family. RIP John and Julie.

While it is very sad to see fellow riders meet their death it is all too often that the accident occurrs due to the rider running out of talent. It is bad enough with all the cages and cellphone idiots cuttin us off cause they aren't paying attention. We must ride within our skill zone.
