The OL is having blast as a passenger. So much that she wants her own Sporty and when it starts raining cash, she just might get it.

Anyway, I was excited to swap out my ugly pegs for nice mini floorboards and told her how cool they are. The thing is, she mentioned that she likes to dig in her heel when we come to a stop or brake suddenly. She thought that if her feet were planted on a flat surface, she would not get that security of pressing down on her foot but slide forward.

Does anyone else have a passenger/significant other that expresses this concern. Or should I just go ahead and change them out.

You can have both. But I guess you already know that.

 

Floorboards do have an edge. I prefer floorboards and so does my wife. Even in panic stops, the boards are secure if yuor wearing proper riding shoes/boots - if she is a 6" stelito type - well good for you..

After 25 years of riding with pegs she got her first floorboards on our Ultra and has said she would never go back to pegs.

 

wife likes the FB's I got for her..

 

mine prefers pegs, says it reminds her of horseback riding..... yee haa!

 

I put passenger boards on my Fatboy, and my girl loves them. She has told me multiple times how much more secure, and comfortable, she feels with them over the pegs.

 

I had to put boards on for Wifey - I got tired of cleaning her boot off of my exhaust...
