Ok... I did the first one... sort of... I left the entire thing blank except for the comments section and in there I told them to come back in a couple of years and I'd let them know how I feel...

Personally I could care less which direction Harley goes from here on out... The ones I have will last me until I can't ride no more...

Sure, sure Charlie. I told myself the '07 was my last new HD too and then the moco a-holes (finally) went and did the new frame for the '09 tourers so right now I'm whimpering for a leftover . Sometimes retirement sukz, especially when I realize I'm just an adolescent (mentally anyway ).

Haven't heard of any of them melting yet. Been working fine for 106 years without water in em. If it ain't broke don't fix it. 74" got us down the road just fine. 88" works good too. 96" and up causing a problem? Don't buy em.

Just my tired old opinion. Don't mean I'm right but that's the way I feel about it.

Sorry, but the science doesn't support that statement.

"one gram of oil can absorb about 55% of the heat for the same rise in temperature (called the specific heat capacity). Oil has about 90% the density of water, so a given volume of oil can absorb only about 50% of the energy of the same volume of water. The thermal conductivity of water is about 4 times that of oil, which can aid heat transfer. The viscosity of oil can be ten times greater than water, increasing the energy required to pump oil for cooling, and reducing the net power output of the engine."

No sweat PT - you're absolutely correct. My brain was stuck thinking of modest revisions I'd like to see moco consider as a way to retain primarily air cooled scoots.

They have a water cooled bike already--V-Rod. There isn't one in my garage and there isn't one in my future. That says it all. For the people that like them they are great but I belong to the category that doesn't.

I hope I get the survey because I will comment that they need more watercooled powerplants. Especially in the touring lineup.

As much as some of us would rebel at a liquid-cooled bike (read large touring bikes), we are becoming the minority and HD is quickly grasping that idea.
