trouble after 1000 mile service
#21
Syn 3 all holes no issues, For years Harley owners ran only Dino with no issues so I would not worry. Also 1000 miles is still not broken in in my opinion. I did not notice a significant difference until after 5000 miles. On my street Glide once I passed 10,000 the thing just purrs.
Ride and enjoy.

I have 13000 km. on mine and it clunks when I shift. It feels good, I like it.
If you hold the clutch in for 10 seconds and then shift into 1st the clunk is gone.

Skidder seems to have found one of the secrets. Yes, the EFI systems on the new bikes make starts and drive offs that much easier, but when the engine is in the cold start mode the first shift into 1st can sound ugly. I usually wait till the rpm's come down a little and while I'm waiting I pull in the clutch. Now on to the clutch, everybody is taught to change oils while they are hot, engine, trans and primary. Here's the down side, the clutch is supposed to be adjusted on a cold drivetrain if not the adjustment will be all for naught. There is a caution in my service manual addressing this and what happens when the primary is overfilled. I apologize for the lengthy response.
