It was once a dream to ride through the USA but after getting crushed by the current depression I've got no hope.
You know I wouldn't mind so much if it were my mistakes but having to live with the results of other peoples mistakes really bites. The thought of retirement is so unreachable now that it's more likley that I'll die at my desk.

I know there is an easier way, but this is all I could find on those maps.

I realize this is probably posted in the depths of a forum somewhere, so I am invoking my newbie status. Can someone tell me how to get a map as an icon?

Are you talking about like some have, next to their user name?

That's the easy part. The hard part is finding the map.

In 1980 I had a summer off work, two of us set out on an adventure with nowhere in mind. 27,000 miles later we had been in half of the states in this beautiful country of ours. It was then I decided I would like to get them all. I hit 49 in 2001 when I picked up N. Dakota, Washington, Oregon and Alaska. Don't know if I'll ever do Hawaii because it would have to be fly and ride, the rest of the states were on my motorcycle, well, motorcycles, two to be exact, both shovelheads to boot!

that's exactly what I am referring to. I have done a search on here of most of the forums I would imagine have info on that, and come up blank. I have PM'd a few too; no joy there, either. Any suggestions? When I get home I am taking a month off, and gonna ride the western half of the country. Would like to be able to color up a map!

You can take your MC on the ferry from Bellingham, WA to Alaska for less than $800.00, so I'd imagine you can do a smiliar thing going to Hawaii from Long Beach or Los Angeles.
