Best thing to do it hit the flashers and scrub as much speed off as possible and ride the grooves out.
Exactly. When I rode through the accident area on Wednesday (not knowing that 2 people had died there that day), I was so unnerved by the condition of the road that I slowed WAY down (to around 60), put the flashers on, and prayed I wouldn't get run over. Cars were flying by me at 85+ but I wasn't going to try to navigate up that lip. I should also mention that it was windy and the road was curved, so it wasn't much fun toughing out those grooves.
The next morning, despite it being a beautiful day, I decided to cage it.
