I thought about buying one but changed my mind. They won't give you any better performance than the SE or any of the many other high flow filters out there.

I think the key part of the word is "hype". It's just a fancy air cleaner and cover. Like a lot of the crap that company sells, it's all about bling. If bling is your thing, ...

Am I the only one who is not comfortable putting something on my HD from a company called "Kuryakin"? I tried to research where that stuff is made once (a long while back), and it seemed to be some kind of state secret.

I have one on my Sporty and have run it for 5 years or so. I didn't have too much difficulty jetting my bike for it, but I'm not super specific and I didn't use a dyno to make the jets perfect.

I like the looks of it and it fits the style I'm after with it.

I had one on a 94 fatboy, never had it on a dyno for comparison but did notice a small increase in performance.

I always liked mine. Not sure if its the best for performance but it still seems to get a reaction from those that look.

Had one on my last bike. But, it was carbureted, so it was simply finding the right slow and main jets. As far as performance, you'll think it runs better, but that's just the extra air flow. If you buy one from Kury, just go ahead and buy new hoses to hook it up. The rubber hose that comes with it will start to crack and deteriorate within the first six months. Did love those flappers tho, sitting at a idle and they're just movin with the rpms......did stick out alot but I got used to it.

Haven't seen any air cleaner comparisons for years, but back then, it was one of the worst performers.

A bike magazine tested several brands last year and all did offer improvement over stock. But the test showed the best flow was with the old tried and true S&S teardrop shaped one.
