In 1976 a thief stole the battery from my Sporty parked under the carport at night while I was sleeping. A few nights later he took the generator. I guess that fixed his electical problem cause he didn't come back for the regulator.

BS!
I'm sick of people blaming everything on the economy! The lowlife that stole those mufflers were lowlifes when the economy was fine too!

This thread has given me an idea. I think I am going to bling my bike out and leave the keys in it at bike night here. Then, we'll just sit and wait. You could really have some fun with this...

Scum is scum, the economy has nothing to do with it. If it was that bad they would be stealing bread rather than mufflers.

slight of hand
Sign of the economy. I went to check out a deer stand a while back and while slowing to turn in to the property I noticed two guys loading wood they had cut from a tree they in turn had cut. I stopped and asked them what they were doing and they said they had promission from the owner and not to worry about it. I told them I was puzzled since I was the owner. They unloaded the wood and left. Crap when it gets to the point someone is willing to steal a tree, al be it small, nothing is safe.
Can this act be done, even with known
tools in hand? In less than an hour?
