I think you messed up, i'd had them wait until the local cop arrived and had them arrested for trespassing, theft, damage to private property and anything else i could muster. this way, they got off scott free. Around here, they'd at least gotten a ticket for tresspassing, and the bigger timber companys really push it a lot farther. Sorry about getting off the subj, but, if they'd try to take off my muff's, good luck, took me 1 hr per muff to take off and put new ones on, lol.

That's why I lock my bike and turn on the alarm no matter where I'm at, trust no one and the honest folks won't bother you to start with.

Alarm system might not stop the folks that really want to steal your bike (several guys that just pick it up) and put it in a van truck etc with the alarm going off,,,,,, but at a bike night or such if someone was stealing your pipes it would go off for sure, damn hard to believe they pulled that off, must have been at a local water hole or such and they had someone watching or something like that, I hate friggen thieves, work or walk is what I say.

What I do is first when they say they have permission from the owner to hunt etc., I say well he has me watch the property, what's your name/s and what is the owners name, then I say I'm the owner,,,, surprise,,,, yes they would have paid for my tree/s plus any other damages/charges I could have mustered when the law got there.
