Furthermore, she has tried to convince me that the staff will not, upon seeing me drive up to the showroom, lock the glass doors, point, laugh, and make the 'L' sign. These are all excellent points.

Gee thanks alot, don't worry as soon as Uncle Sam said it was okay to move I did. But on a side note I most likely have as much Mississippi blood in me or more than you. My Grandfather was Charley Pete Alvis, you can find him on the statue honoring the local boat Captains.

To Rooster. As a bike purchaser and current customer at Chunky River HD, I feel a need to respond to your posting here. I'm not an "armchair rider" who spends hours pecking on a keyboard producing drivel that perhaps only the author finds interesting or funny, in fact this is my only posting ever in a forum. Also, I don't spend time online trying to create some "humor" that could be spent actually riding a motorcycle. (I assume you ride) A 40 something mile ride to a dealership (running an errand for the wifey) shouldn't be so physically taxing on a man of your years (I'm several years your elder I believe by your profile), in most riders' mind that would be a fun thing. And do you really think that an additional 100 miles would affect the value of your Sporty? This dealership has been my dealer for over 6 years and the people who have worked there have never been rude or not helpful to keep my Harley looking and running great. The last time I was there it was closing time and as I and the employees were leaving, I seen the Service Manager hooking up his trailer in the pouring rain. I asked what he was doing and he reponded "I have call from someone passing through here who has broke down on the interstate". This guy who made you walk 100 yards to eat pizza? YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN. Also during my last visit, I noticed a plaque from HD awarding them "Silver" status, obviously a dealership that treated customers as you have described, couldn't achieve that status. YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN. How many of your motorcycles have you purchased there, and how many parts have you purchased there? Why not tell all of us about your purchases there? Are you an actual customer of theirs, or someone who gets some kind of self-satisfying charge out of causing grief for a most-loved dealership? I would guess being so close, it would be the obvious dealership to visit for these services/products? (By the way, those were not rhetorical questions, feel free to answer them).... YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN. Have you ever been to any of the gatherings and enjoyed the music, food, bikes, and good times had by all? They are having one this coming Saturday, I'm sure that you would be welcome there, hope to see you. If you wonder how you might recognize me, I'll be the one with "truth" on my face, NOT MUD. Loosen up a bit, get into the biking scene instead of becoming an observer. Hey, how about joining their HOG chapter? One more item, all those who read this posting from Rooster from afar, BEWARE! Why not stop in to the dealership and see for yourselves.

To all...Schoolbus has a point. I encourage you to go to Chunky River Harley Davidson for yourself. Make your own evaluation. Do not rely upon my account as your sole source of information. While you are there, spend money at the parts counter...those guys are top-notch!
To the employees of Chunky River Harley Davidson...please refrain from attempting any further ad hominem retribution. The timing of your account creation dates coincide with Mrs. Le Fevre's notification of the problem. You use language that makes it easy to determine who you are. You demonstrate a complete lack of knowledge of the contents of the two threads on this issue. All that, and the fact that you appear to have waited patiently for over two months (gritting your teeth, flexing your furious knuckles) before finally sending your first ever post on this forum...it all adds up to a badly-done hatchet job.
I will not ask the moderators to sanction Schoolbus and Geez Glide 56. If they are, indeed, who I think they are then they are merely trying to protect their jobs by pleasing the boss. If, instead, they are genuine citizens who are completely outraged by the thought of anyone writing bad stuff about the most wonderful Harley Davidson dealership in the entire world, then I say, "Wake up!" Bad stuff happens. It's how a business handle those setbacks that ultimately decides whether customers will ever come back for an oil change, a new tire, or a pair of boots.

I wonder if the dealer hear any of this neg feedback even though it is their fault for what had happen. Alot of dealerships are folding up HD are laying off they should be more nicer to the customer. Also I remember when HD had us putting deposits on bikes and waiting a year and a half for a bike or charging 2,000dollars more for a bike.**** I hope the big dealers go out and the little ma and pop dealers come back that is where you get good services
