QUIETER ROLLING THUNDER Every year, a pack of motorcycle enthusiasts descend on the region for a motorcycle rally known as Rolling Thunder for Memorial Day weekend. They roar around the capital region as a tribute to American war heroes. But are their bikes too loud? After this year’s Roaring Thunder, an effort to encourage motorcycle enthusiasts to be quieter was launched from the Sulgrave neighborhood in Mount Vernon. The endeavor led to a two-page resolution that is now being considered by the Mount Vernon Council of Citizens’ Associations. The plan was initially considered by the Environment and Recreation Committee, and has now been sent to the Public Safety Committee. (Mount Vernon Gazette)

They have the right to be upset...it is probably in the Constitution somewhere...
Our bikes are 100 times louder than stock but so much faster that we cannot be caught because we are gone before the sound gets there.
Even their own police department are savages
I actually knew people who lived in that area and visited briefly.....they "dress" for dinner and believe friends are worth having only if they are politically connected. All they know about capitalism is that it must have something to do with living near Washington.
I have a grand nephew with Autism that lives in suburbs out there nearby and my bet is that my niece and her three kids will be on the side of the road waving and giving away lemonade...her dad is a 100% disabled vet and as her uncle she knows I haven't been "quite right" since then either.
Trash the thread before this gets any more unwarranted attention. John

Why is this not hard to believe. In this me, me, me world a bunch of self absorbed aholes don't like a little noise a couple of days a year, by people that are honoring soldiers that gave their life for their country. Whatever happened to the day when aholes like this wouldn't open their mouths for fear of being told to STFU!

We were NOT a "PACK".
We were a group of patriotic Americans supporting those that served our great country on a National HOLIDAY just for that purpose.
It was a HOLIDAY weekend for God's sake.
It is just one weekend out of the year.
Who are these SICK, STUPID, MORON, A-HOLE, Du-a$$, LIBERIAL, Anti-American, Anti-Harley, Anti-Fun, people?
Are they complaining about the noise of the helicopter that flew over the national mall all day long?
Give me a BREAK!
