My local favorite is Big Bear Lake (sig pic on my way there), especially in the summer to get away from the dang heat.
I'm heading out to the Colorado Rockies for the first time in less than 2 weeks and can't wait.
Done this fantastic ride and will be doing it again on my way back from Colorado.

I love the Million Dollar Highway and Trailridge.
I only live 5 minutes from the Mt Evans hwy!
One of my fav highways I have ever ridden on is hwy 78 from NM to AZ. One of the neatest experience I've ever had on a bike. Loved it.

Lolo Pass to Missoula or Hamilton for the night.
However, we decided to take Rattlesnake Grade to Clarkston
for the night then over to Missoula via Thompson Falls where
we spent our 2nd night.
Have to say that the morning ride from Lolo to Kooskia with
stop at Lochsa Lodge in Powell was the absolute best trip
we ever had out there.

We road up to Lolo Pass on HWY-12 from Clarkston, WA last month on our way over to Billings, MT. What a great ride! Lochsa Lodge is definately a must stop. And if it gets too hot along the way, you can stop for a quick dunk in Clearwater River.
But we took the same route on the way back, from Lolo, MT back to WA. Heading down HWY-12 gettin' stuck behind RV's and semi trucks that don't know how to use the slow moving vehicle turn-outs is no fun.
