Default Pig Trail in Arkansas

I road down there from St. Louis this weekend and was expecting more. Highway 7 south of Jasper is much nicer than the Pig Trail.

Funny thing though is the Harley dealer at the north end of the Pig Trail had more bikes in the parking lot than I saw on the road...

I like both 7 and 23. Both quality rides in my opinion. IF you want more... go to the smokies and ride the Dragon

To each his own.

7 is ok I guess. But, if ya want real mountain roads, head to the BRP or the Dragon.

Check out the Talimena Drive in eastern Arkansas sometime. Especially in late October. 60 plus nice winding miles from Mena, AR, to Talihina, OK. Great views, and enough curves to keep you busy.

Fortunately, I live close enough that I can ride down 7 and up 23 (or vice versa) in one day. I've riden 123, Talimena, BRP and the dragon's tail--and I like 'em all! Scenic 7 all the way to Hot Springs, AR is about as nice a ride as you'll find. Dragons Tail is great, but crowded. BRP's speed limit is a hassle after a while...but I'd ride it again in a heartbeat!!

From St. Louis the ride to the Pig Trail should have been half the fun.

Pig trail is nice, but the Talimena ride is much more relaxing and scenic. If you really want to have fun on the Pig Trail and HWY 7 ride it in the pouring rain like we did over Memorial Day.
Sometimes you could even see all the way to the edge of the road............
