Pig Trail in Arkansas
#11
I enjoyed the southern portion of the Pig Trail...the first part is real similiar to everything else in northwestern Arkansas. I enjoyed 7 with exception of the rain! We got soaked from Hot Springs to Harrison. Unfortunately the weather slowed us down and we were under time restraints and was unable to hit everything I had planned on the east side of Harrison.

That would be EASTERN Oklahoma, and WESTERN Arkansas.
What I like about it is, not a lot of traffic, usually.

We're riding up to Eureka Springs for the Labor Day weekend. I don't even have to look at the weather forecast. If I'm riding the mountain roads of Arkansas, it'll be raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock.

My sister and her hubby live in Fayetteville. My hubby and ride over there to ride with them as often as possible. We have ridden the pig trail many times. When you live in North West Mississippi all the roads in North West Arkansas are great!

I like about 1/2 mile off Rt 7 north of Hot Springs. Moved here from Maryland and I don't regret it. The ride from Ola to Jessieville is great. Stop at Nimrod dam for a nice break. Here's a couple pics.
Rt 7 between Ola and Jessieville
The overook at Petit Jean park just south of Russellville
Nimrod lake view standing on the dam.
Out my back door.
