I am just about at the 10K mileage mark and still on stock pads. When it's time to replace the pads I will get the best ones available.

You can always put a Electra glide tire on it with a 77H capacity rating....That would be my first choice...i think other than that the bike can handle it...Chit i loaded my 883C with me and my wife and we are BIG people....Tire is #1 concern...

Get doudle sintered pads, they brake a lot stronger than organic, they sqeal a bit but the increase in braking power is worth it...

I would move the the H rated tires myself. I ran Avons on my last bike. I used to compete in bodybuilding and am currently 260 but go as high as 280. My girl is 6ft+ and not light. I moved to a glide and never looked back. The beefier frame and the air ride suspension made a huge difference.

I think you have gotten on the right track with the advice given. #1 tires #2 suspension #3 clutch.
