CVO Street Glide - What is Dealer Smoking?
#12
Well guys, I got one at no added cost and $1000 additional parts at no charge and I added a race tuner with reinhart mufflers. Sounds great and plenty of torgue for me. Also added the molded led winshield lights. Had antenna hid. Bike handles well and I must say the best Harley I have rode. Here she is hot right out of the crate.

They seem to be smoking reality. Anything is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Manufacturers cannot not legally dictate the selling price, thus, MSRP is the Manufacturers SUGGEST Retail Price. The market sets the actual price.
I was at a local dealer for a few hours last Saturday - they sold 8 new bikes while I was there (and would have sold another but the guy got shot down on financing).

The local dealer here has a 2009 FXSTSSE3 listed for 33,000, a 2010 FLSTSE listed at 33,000, a 2010 FLHXSE listed for 36,000 a 2010 FLHTCUSE5 listed for 41,000. I asked about an out the door cash price and was basically laughed out the door, seems that they don't want to sell a bike for cash money, ... WTF.

I test rode a CVO Road Glide at the beginning of the summer (Harley Dealer test rides) and I thought it would have had a lot more torque.

That seems low. I was with a guy that got his 07' ( I believe) CVO dyna dynoed and it put out 85/99 completly stock.
