I just called geico because I wanted to rent in new Brunswick next month...geico says you are good to go for less than 30 days...You might call your carrier but suspect it is similar.

You will be good to go anywhere in Canada with your present policy.Just as long as you satisfy the insurance requirements of your home state. Might suggest additional travel insurance for peace of mind. Welcome and enjoy your ride.

I was told I needed a special card from my insurance carrier certifying that I was covered up there.
It was yellow and called a Non-Residence Inter-Province Motor Vehicle liability insurance card. My insurance company sent it to me in a couple days.
I'm sure most people don't bother getting one.

At all out crossings into Canada all that was asked was our passports which are now a requirement (or the license sized equivalent). No documents for the vehicle were required.
It might be a good idea to check with your carrier to determine if the coverage extends into that country just in case there is a incident.

DING,Ding,Ding Jimmers1817 has the answer, get the card from your carrier, they don't ask for it but, if you get stopped or need it for an accident then you won't have the extra paperwork from the locals. Don't forget the passport or passcard.
