Who has removed there frame Vin sticker

Default Who has removed there frame Vin sticker

Just seeing who else has taken these ugly things off too,My Vin is stamped in the frame who needs the sticker...It looks sssoooo much better..

I haven't. Our laws require it to be there in addition to the stamp, otherwise it'd probably go

Damn, I got caught in this extreme 'acid rainstorm' the other day and it melted off...now I'm screwed.

Nice Copper Top Plane...mine melted off when I use to live in AZ,in Chandler a year back

I recall it is also against the law to remove the tags from mattresses as well.

Took all the stickers and reflectors off right after I bought the bike.

Me too. ook the VIN sticker off. The VIN is stamped on the frame so the sticker is not required.

It's not against the law to take the tag off a mattress. It's against the law for anyone but the CONSUMER to take off the tag. Says so right on the tag.

I leave all the tags and Warning!!! Death or Destruction tags on.
It is interesting to see a bike 10 or 15 years old with all the stock stuff still on it.

Just hope you never need to plate the bike in another state now. At least here in NM they require 2 VINs to transfer plates or you have to get the police to verify that it is acceptable that there is only one or issue a NM VIN sticker.

I stand corrected. I always thought it was an old wives tale and never took the time to actually read the tag itself. Just for kicks, what other interesting things have you read???
