The MOCO can build a plant anywhere they want and train anybody to do those jobs...Really can't be that hard to do the same thing over and over again...They don't have to be that skilled..They don't hire certified mecanics to turn a preset torque air wrench...

 

I doubt the government is really telling HD what to do because they don't really know but they may let the executives know what they think. One thing they may let HD know is not to ship jobs overseas. The decisionmakers have to be smart enough to understand why the economy is not doing well - lack of consumer spending; gotta have American consumers who make enough money to make discretionary decisions like buying Harleys!

 

i wonder if this a just a way to get some moneys out of pa to update the plant
plus tax breaks.

I believe Ford makes the Escape at the KC plate. That vehicle is selling extremely well.

 

I personally think they are just looking to break the union.
