May be wrong but the guy he ran over was drunk also. I know it doesn't much matter. It could have been a child or other person. I think he got maxed out, as I have seen even non-famous people get off with alot less time than what he got. If he paid off the faimliy he sure didn't get much for his $$. 6 years is alot of time in jail.

Question

Even if he serves the full term of his sentence, the lifetime suspension of his drivers lic. will have a real impact on his lifestyle, can't see him living out rest of his life not being able to ride.

I may be mistaken, but I seem to recall that his license was suspended when all this happened. If that's indeed the case, a lifetime suspension would really not prevent him from riding again.

Maybe he'll join the European component of biking, and get a license there once he gets out. Tons of bike activity across the pond. He at least has some options. His victim didn't.

[places soap box squarely in front of the audience]
In my opinion, he should be euthanized. If you kill some one overtly (as in drunk driving) you should pay with your life. period.

He'll be out of prison in something less than 6 years, I guess. He also had his driving priviledges revoked for life. Gonna be tough for him to maintain his image when he's riding bitch.
r you talking on a bike or in prison?

Why would the judge suspend his driving priviledges for life and order him to take a drunk driving awareness class?
