I say a Street Glide, best of both worlds, but why listen to me? No one does.

If you consider the RK, I would recommend the standard if you are planning on riding anywhere. The Classic looks sharp, but I think you will appreciate the locking saddlebags.

i figured cause the softails have the balanced engine so they would probably be a step up for long distance over a dyna. actually the only harley ive ever ridden was a fxrs with a tc88.

im probably gunna drive them crazy driving 4 different bikes.

actually i havent been shopping solely on looks, actually on fit. sitting on the bikes the best ones were

flatfooted
fatboy low
crossbones without a spring seat
softail deluxe
night rod special

street glide was the best of the tourers for the reach to the ground. either way im at a catch 22

if i get the softail i need to get bags, shield, backrest

if i go touring i see me forking over for a drop seat kit or suspension work

lets face it im spending some coin...

heritage is not an option as i hate the studded seat and bags.

OR you could go touring and let Mean City Cycles (a forum sponsor) modify your stock seat. I have no experieve with them personally, but it is my uderstanding that they can make the seat more comfortable and lower it. Much more cost effective.

I can't think of a better bike for what you want than the Heritage. You can get all the black accessories you want and put on it. It's perfectly fine for two up riding and touring. And when you want to, take off the windshield and bags and you have a boulevard cruiser.

Good luck with your choice.

I agree with DannyZ71. Having the best of both worlds, I prefer my Road King for touring but my Heritage can handle 2-up just as well and is more versatile.
