Got goose bumps reading that story. I'm sure you heard probably a 16th of what they have seen and been through. It sucks bad that, he has to live out his last days like that because some damn drunk. I hope hell has a special place for ******** like that.

Thanks for sharing. That is one thing in common with all riders. The sense of adventure and the fellowship to share. You know this could be a challenge to ALL HOG CHAPTERS. >>MAKE VISITS TO YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY HOMES<< Continuing Care Facilities or whatever. I would enjoy it if I were there and I think you would too.
Footnote: When I had taken my wife on her first road trip the first thing she said was everyone we met was so friendly and talkative. I said yea you don't see that with the cagers when they stop for gas do you.

What a great story! One of the things I love about riding is meeting other riders, especially at gas stations!, and hearing their stories.
I was at a gas station once and an older couple (in their 80's) was there in their RV. They came over and said nice bike, which is usually an indication they ride, so I asked if they did. They said they did, but had to leave them home this trip for some reason. Two hours later we parted ways, but they told great stories!!!
