Did your cell phone work? And with what carrier?
I have AT&T and once I crossed from MN into SD, the phone didn't work. I had great signal - but when I hit send, it said Service Unavailable. The rest of the group (and others I talked to) didn't have a problem with All Tel or Verizon.

Is there another AT&T user that was as pissed of at their carrier as I was???

 

My Verizon worked fine.

 

my att sucked a$$. I'll probably carry a sprint pre paid next year.

 

Verizon worked like a bandit, each and everytime.

 

AT&T was awful.

Funny (now) thing happened in Rapid City. Set my iPhone (AT&T) alarm clock to go off at 4 am to wake me up to be at the airport by 5:30 am. Woke up...got up (begrudgingly)...got in the shower...got out and noticed the alarm clock said 3:15! TV said the same thing. Needless to say, the phone was wrong!

Apparently this happens a lot there. Found out they don't have a lot of carriers in Rapid City so some phones pick up the tower in Sioux Falls which is a different time zone!

 

That's funny...

My gripe is this - how can we have nationwide coverage and it not work where others work just fine? Then it isn't nationwide coverage now, is it???

To see if it was just my phone, I dialed 911 and hit send. Phone went right into calling mode and I hit end. So I knew nothing was wrong with the phone, but now I have a gripe with ATT.

 

Alltel worked great.

 

Ihave at&t and wife and i had no problems

 

I had no problems with AT&T, other than I was roaming

 

Sprint worked fine , all the way even in the tint towns of Iowa I went thru on the way up ..... been wanting a shirt from ernies a long time ( I like john deere & hd's , is a combo dealer)
