55 and up no problem.

It will pull away strong at 55 with no bucking , shaking or pinging. The FXSTC pulls strong.

I was told for my 2007 Heritage Classic, that you should not shift into 6th until you were going 65+. This is the rule that I use until someone tells me something else.

Unless the road is clear you will be downshifting continually at less than 70 - 75 mph in 6th. If you have a straight shot and no traffic you can do OK at 65 as long as the road is level or flip it on cruise control. But driving it manually takes 75 MPH in my experience.

I usually shift into 6th at 70MPH and downshift out of 6th if traffic slows me to 60MPH. Once I'm in traffic, I just stay in 5th until it's clear regardless of the momentary speed fluctuations above 70MPH.

Let's see. It's a 6-speed transmission, so the speed I use it in is 6th. Are you blond or something?

Seriously, my dealer recommended using 6th above 65 mph, but I routinely shift at around 60 mph if I'm not trying to accelerate or on an upgrade. Cruises nicely at 60, no hint of lugging.
