Default Mustache Engine Guards

Anybody have these? How do you like them? I tipped the bike over on the guard this weekend because of a muddy driveway, did some minor scratching to the bar, but because I am so **** retentive about scratches on chrome, I am going to replace the bar, but was wondering about these vrs a stock engine guard? Any pro and cons?

I have something similar.....the LINDBY multibar. No complaints but I plan to swap it for a factory crash bar

I went with the HD mustache engine guard over the regular rounded HD engine guard for my 07 Heritage, with the thought I wouldn't need to buy highway pegs. Wrong.... The rubber pads on top of the mustache guard are to high for my leg length and very uncomfortable, so I ended up buying highway pegs anyway.

I should have gone with the "regular" engine guard and saved about $50 as compared to the mustache guard.... Oh well... at least I like the way this one looks.

I kind of like that Lindby bar. What is your reasoning for wanting to switch?

I tried the Lindy, my legs are to long to wrap around the tank and rest on the bar. Went back to standard bar with pegs.

I have had the HD version for three years and 20,000 miles on a Street Glide. Love Em. One rubber foot tread fell off while I was passing through Eagle CO on the return trip from sturgis a couple of weeks ago, so I'm taking the other one off and lacing leather around the top bar where the rubber foot treads were.

I just purchased a 2010 heritage and had them put the mustache guard on before I picked it up.
I really like the way it looks, its different, not everyone has this style.
I also already had a set of highway pegs ready to install on it once I got the bike home.

I had the dealer switch the guard on my FLHXSE to the regular one. The mustache guard is ugly imo.
