Dumb--- Cager
Saw this yesterday right behind me. I was riding on a very busy street here and I was in front of a small suv and a rider. The suv was in the inside lane behind me and the other rider was in the outside lane. I looked back and saw the suv pulling into the outside lane getting into the rider. I saw her hit him and knock him inot a curb and wreck the bike. I was able to stop and go back to help. When I got to him, his right foot was broken to the point that it was a compond fracture. He also had some head wounds. The idiot cager did stop a short distance down the street. The reason that I am writing about this is that this has almost happened to me several times. At least the emergency services got to him quickly before he went into shock and transported him to the hospital. Just wondering how other riders keep from getting sideswiped. I try to stay back or pass quickly to get out in front of them, especially big trucks.

Man... Stories like that make me cringe. Did he have a helmet on? I worry for my fellow riders every time I see someone driving and texting, talking on their phones, etc. People don't pay any attention or give a rats @ss about fellow motorists anymore. Sorry for the rant, but it's a world gone mad out there! Be Safe!

I notice way more texting now that I drive a bike. It is out of hand. Seriously, 1 out of every 3 drivers is talking or texting. Frickin idiots. I want to reach in and grab their necks and choke them.

No ****!
Guy coming straight at me (only going about 20 mph on a backroad near the house) Texting like it was nuthin! I had about 2 feet of road to clear the bastard! I turned around and made sure to get my point across! Nuff said. They are everywhere! Watch your backs!
And also keeping a safe distance from any cage on the road helps.
Truckers are most likely the ones that keep and eye out for ya!
I learned that several times, and once from my father in law.

Gotta watch the blind spots. If they're alongside me, they sure as hell can hear me even if they don't see me.
