This cage had a bike in front of him, ridden by the thread starter, lobanion). Given that the pipes face backwards, the noise from the one ahead had to be way louder to this driver than the bike in his blind spot. It probably didn't occur to him that what he heard came from more than one bike.

lotta folks turn first then look. i installed the little fish eye mirrors on my dodge dakota to cover the blind spot. hell if a mid size car can hide there a bike sure as hell can.

I've had the same thing happen to me a couple times, but I always keep my thumb close to the horn button when I'm in tight traffic. It amazing how dual air-horns will wake a cager up in a hurry. The deer-in-the-headlights look from the driver is priceless. They think they're about to get t-boned by an 18 wheeler.

Riding in the blindspot always = trouble! ...... That said, most cage drivers are brain dead these days.

fabrk8r, thanks for the info on air horns. I have been thinking about getting them. Stock Harley horns and their "marp marp" sound just don't seem to do the trick. 07 Night Train.
