More cubes, without having to spend a buncle. More torque right from the factory.

No disrespect intented, but I bought a Harley, not a B.M.W. Rather than tech. improvements perhaps better quality service/cust. serve at many dealers. m.h.o.

ON the serious side I have one request.
WATERCOOL.
Leave the cooling fins and everything else intact, but port those beautiful twin cam jugs for glycol and hang a small radiator/oil cooler between those downtubes.

Bring machnical quality closer to Japanese levels? This statement is a frightning one to me, a prospective Harley buyer. I LOVE Harley's and I still intend to buy one ... I'm excited about it ... but when i read statements like this I have to wonder what I'm getting myself into?
Here is where I think harley is lacking:
--more cubes (with the competition now pumping out 1800cc and 2000cc engines the 1450cc is just falling behind)
--oil coolers (make them standard)
--dealership service (actually have some)

Ride by wire, just like those F-18 things. Quicker response, better radar target acquisition and better electronic counter measures. Actually, just leave off the useless air gauge and come up with a factory braking system that doesn't howl like a banshee. I don't see why they don't incorporate some of the advances that Buell has made into the HD bikes. Namely, the large front rotor/caliper set up, and add ABS. Now that would be one heck of an improvement. A good electric fan (small) that would come on when the heads hit a certain temp might relieve some of the discomfort, too. Just to keep the air moving.

I would rather see the nice, clean, shiny chrome shields than the ugly discolored pipes.

For all Baggers, I'd like an upgrade kit for the stock POS Shifter in the front of the inner primary.
I'd also like it if they either upgraded the shifter arm on the tranny to something other than pot metal and redesigned the inner primary so that if the shiter arm strips out, you can replace it without removing the inner and outer primary.
For all Bikes with Carbs, they should come with a retro kit or from the factory with a shut off valve between both fatbobs, instead of a rubber hose.
A rear wheel alignment setup that uses cams with marks on it, instead of bending a wire hanger into the shape required from the repair manual. Ala dirt bikes, for quick, easy tire replacement.
Adjustable pushrods right from the factory along with Geared cams.
