The "Indy" that wrenches my bike does not ride that much anymore, working on them has killed his fun.
I was a car guy, a real good shade tree type, good enough to go pro, that killed my desire to work on my own stuff, so between being a former mechanic, former body/frame tech and current auto damage appraiser, the only thing I do at this point is change my oil and I am starting to farm that out.
Never having worked as a bike mechanic, I still enjoy working on my bikes, but you won't see me working on the cars unless something is broken.

I work on cars for a living, have for 40 some years, have come to hate cars, due to the new engineering. I still drive cars. I work on bikes a lot, still ride bikes.
