That was all it took. Took her out today to get a helmet (she even had fun buying that). After telling her how to ride 2 up and what to do on the back, we went for a ride......


Some of the more memorable comments from my school teacher wife during the ride:

• "There is a lot of wind out here"
• "The wind moves my head when we go fast"
• "Did you say something?"
• "I can't hear you"
• "I like squeezing you when we start off"
• "My helmet keeps hitting yours...sorry...is that bad?"
• "Its not that loud when you are on it"
• "Which part of the bike will burn me?"
• "The seat is kinda slick"

And my favorite.....

• "It vibrates a lot. I like that."

My mom, who would only ride when my dad begged her, and who really hates riding, is fine with it--she thinks I need to go do I what I want and have fun. My dad is freaking out and trying to pretend that he wouldn't feel differently if I were a son. He doesn't have a bike now though, so I am thinking he will get a lot happier when I hand him the keys to my Super Glide. He will get to break it in since I will be taking it in baby steps until I know what I'm doing.
