Somewhere on the internet there is a security video shot from the left side of a van with a right side door pulling up next to a bike in a parallet parking spot. The van blocks the view of the bike from the camera. The van is there just a few seconds, and when it pulls away, the parking space is empty.

Damn.... I lived in SA about 4 years ago and their was a crew that was pulling up in Uhauls. Six guys would jump out of the back and lift the front and push it up a ramp backwards. It would take them less then a few minutes to get it in the back of the truck and off they went. Then they would work on it when they had time.
Camera's got them on tape clearing out 5 bikes in a matter of 20 min. The only one they did not take was the one that had a rear lock on the back tire.
