pregnant...ok to still ride?

Would you take the baby home from the hospital in a baby seat strapped to the back of the bike?, no too dangerous right?, so what's the difference now?
A womb is designed to protect the baby from minor slips and falls, not smashing into the pavement at thirty miles and hour or more. JMHO
Congrats on the baby by the way, hope he/she is heathy and happy.

My wife quit riding when she found out she was pregnant. Not that it would hurt the baby but she just doesn't trust the drivers in NJ. I don't know if she will ever ride again, she has mentioned a couple of times how we both could have died before and life would go on, now if we both died noone would be there to take care of the kids.

Check with your doctor of course, but I had a friend who skydived until she was 5 or 6 months along. Her unborn child had more jumps than half the people at the drop zone.

I would say, Hell No! It's not a question of whether you can, it's a question of whether you should take the risk. To me it's all about minimizing risk. Driving a car to go from home to work or the store entirely different than riding a bike for recreation purposes.
