2 Gremlin Bells?
#23
When I was a little boy, my grandmother gave me a silver bell hanging on a string. I called it "my ding-a-ling". I played with "my ding-a-ling" all through school and whenever I had a few minutes to be alone until i got married. Wonder what ever happened to it?

sure why not, you need more stuff rattling and ringing on your bike. i've been given two, and they keep dust from settling on my work bench, a good place for them. and i no longer believe in santa claus or the easter bunny. each to their own.

my wife bought me one for the Honda the weekend after I was rear ended at a stop light. 10 years later I took it off to sell the bike and 5 minutes later the front forks were leaking. Then he dropped it on the test ride. Then it fell over on the trailer less than a mile from my house. At least I had the cash in my pocket by then. But I told him to have his girlfriend buy him one cause the bike needs it.
I got a bell from my sister in law and her husband the day I got my Ultra. Then my daughter got me one for Christmas and I wasn't sure about putting it on but now I think I will. Might even go buy 2 more for my wife and son that ride with me when they can (1 at a time)

Personally, I have three for just me. (One given to me by a member here, one by my Grandma, and one by the "mom" of our ALR.) So if you're worried about that... some of my other friends think they're dumb, but ****, you can't be too careful and if a dumb little bell is going to magically prevent me from blowing a tire and dying then...."If its stupid, but it works then how stupid was it?"
On the other hand, I just read your post again and I think I get what you're saying. The rule is if you get one for yourself then it will have the opposite effect. My honest opinions are if you get one for your wife, and then put it on YOUR bike then its going to have that negative effect. I personally would think that the bells cover the bike and not the person. (Thinking: If the bike is safe then the riders are safe)
My $.02
