Default First multi-day trip. Can my Wife bring the blow dryer?

I would love to know, especially from couples, what you take with you on your bike for a 4 day trip. I have 2 saddlebags, a trunk with luggage rack, and I suppose some sort of duffle bag atop the luggage rack. What is neccessary? What do we leave home? We'll be staying in a Hotel, so I don't need a tent. Does she get to bring the blow dryer, lol?

Good rule of thumb....Get all the stuff you think you will need and put it on the bed.

Then get all the Money you think you will need and put it on the dresser.

Then take half of the stuff on the bed and put it back where you got it from

Then go to the bank and withdraw an amount equal to what you already have on the dresser and then and only then.

Go have fun on your trip.

Many hotels will have a blow dryer, check with yours. We just don't see the need to take one with us.

Never got that far.

For a 4 day trip she would have,
Luggage
1 upright.
2 reg large.
1 carry-on.
1 make-up.
Then the Saddle bags would hold her curlers, curling irons, and blow dryer....

Maybe an Airstream....

She's gonna have helmet hair anyway..No need for the dryer..
Ditto 55Bubba as well. Even the nasty hotels have a hair dryer nowadays.

4 Day pack -

Me
Jeans.. 1 to wear, 1 in the bag -1 pair will easily go 2 days unless you go mud bogging or something.
Socks & skivvies..clean pair for each day
T-shirts - one for each day
Long sleeve shirts - one (I bring a wool shirt) in case it gets chilly
Small diddy sack with tooth brush, meds, soap, powder, etc. (don't forget the Gold Bond...ever..)
Maybe a razor..maybe not.

She
Same as above with a small make-up kit
Silk jammies

Bike
Rain gear, first aid kit, tool kit, map, ICE kit, phone.

Should cover pretty much all you'll need for the few days out.

As long as we go along with them and help them try to find room on the bike...in a short time they realize there just isnt' enough..and besides, most hotels have what they need anyway.

My wife never wore a baseball cap until she started riding and wearing a helmet. Somehow, the curling iron just didn't seem as important as getting on, holding on and having fun.

Is it that important, really? Almost any hotel will have hair dryers, either on the wall in the bathroom, or you can call down to the desk. Plus, she is going to have a helmet on, right? That pretty much precludes decent hair styles anyway.

When I travel, I don't want a flat iron or hair dryer along, so I bring travel size bottles of Aveda Smooth Infusion and Hang Straight plus a good comb. That gets me reasonably nice smooth hair (assuming this is her goal) with minimal time and equipment investment.

Also: a guy brushing a woman's hair for 15 minutes or so feels great and will do most of the work of a hair dryer.
