Good save dude. Happens to all of us. I've used my ABS brakes a zillion times trying to stay alive. People just don't have any sense anymore. Why are they all in such a rush, anyway? Just keep a safe distance..

I went down in Holly Springs, 1 mile from hwy 55. We have such a variery of people - Asian, Indian, African, Russian, and a ton of relocators that it's crazy on the roads.
Of course, I'm a transplant too - moved here from CA 9 years ago.

That is becoming all too common. The same thing happened to me this week, with a Coworker no less! Leaving the plant, three lanes out, typical left - go straight - right set up. We're coming up on it and the guy in the left turn lane suddenly changes his mind and jumps right into my lane, dead straight in front of me. I didn't even know I braked until I saw the forks slapping down hard.
So you can't even trust the stupid aholes in the left or right turn lanes anymore. Especially beware the superb dumb-asses who pull over to the right! I saw one make a left turn lane from the curb!!!! He covered two lanes on that one and two on the other side!
Glad your bike didn't high-side on you. I can't believe you got away with that one, it must've just been right, especially after a deep rear wheel skid like that.
