They charge for air!

We used to have free air here in SoCal too. But then the real service stations went away and air and water stations replaced what was left. After that, these were extensively vandalized, so they started charging, just to cover the frequent theft and damages. Just part of the de-civilization of America. You have to design everything for animal use. No more comfortable seats on the subways or busses, because the kids will slash the cushions. Ditto for the glass. Even the restrooms aren't safe from the a-holes. The lack of respect for public property is astounding.

Same Were I live In NY been like that for years. Alot of gas stations are grocery storys don't do repairs. the ones that do and I cant blame them. Don't leave the hose out account lazy people left them on the ground and the ckucks got run over and damaged or the hose got holes in it from being run over. One guy told me his hose was stolen . So he put one of them 50 cents for 3 min machines in. I did like you years ago Compresser and a portable air tank. Times have changed. They dont even have a water bucket out by the pumps any more or paper towels too clean the glass.

Just need to vent here for a sec...
I just got back from riding up one end of town to the other checking every gas station for a freekin air hose that would fit my bike. Not one!
Not only that, half of them wanted 50 cents and one 7-11 wanted a buck (for AIR!)
I need the old fashion kind that bends on an angle other wise I'm heading to the dealership to use there's and they best not charge me for it.
Thanks for listening.

Luckily the gas station closest to my home still has free air... They even offer full service with oil change (probably the only place in town). I never see anyone at the full service pumps though.
I have my own compresser that works fine for the bike, but takes too long for the jeep. I did use the stations air in the bike the other day and never again. I put it on there for like one second trying to add 10 PSI, and ended up with a front tire at 61 PSI. Felt like a retard.

The Wawa down the road has free air but some jerk off is always busting the air chuck and or hose. If I owned the place and people kept doing that I would just take the damn thing out after a couple times of them breaking it.

Holly chit, stations have been charging for compressed air for at least 10 -15 years here in Ind.
Plus its hard to find one that even has any.
bout the same as finding a outside public tele. and there not a dime anymore either.

Pretty soon we will be paying for water. They'll probably sell it by the bottle. Call it Natural Spring water or something..
Seriously tho...I saw at the local dealer that they now have "Genuine Harley Davidson Water" and they sell it buy the case. $10.95 a case. No ****.
