How high above your shoulders must your hands be for your bars to be apehangers? 20" apes on a bike belonging to a 7' NBA player may not qualify.

I met a girl about 5'5" the other day. She rides a Fatboy with 18" apes. Now she did look kewl. Very kewl.

The one's on the 78 are 12" Mini apes.

And these would be apes.

BUT that's where I grew up. Your results may vary, some assembly requarred.

AS LONG as we are ?ing 'names' of bars, My 'concept' of "beach" bars, are evidentally different, from 'some' of the catalog companies. To ME, they need to sorta be like "apes". You almost gotta be "reaching" for them. In other words, WIDE. IF you are NOT reaching, are they then, "mini beaches" ??????? Jus' aksin, that's all.
Gump, you are absolutely right. But, on my 2002 Wide Glide HD called the bars (just like on the Sporty) Mini-apes. I'm just sayin that those bars were actually "Buckhorns." Not mini-apes like the 12"ers on your 78.

Hey Gump...those are only apes due to the application of the bars...your rise and rake get it done...if you put those on a fat boy or road king they would be mini's...

I agree. Friend put "beaches" on his Springer and they are wide. I have heard peeps refer to the RK Custom bars as "beach bars". I don't get it.
