My son just traded his VTX1800 for an Ultra Classic. He and his wife both like the bike and find it pretty comfortable for long rides. He did say that the VTX had a bit more poop for passing but other than that the Ultra is a much better two up ride.

You will NOT go wrong with a Ultra.--------- I've had four of them!

I had a vtx 1800 and a triumph rocket. I now have a 09 ultra. Much more comfortable than either of the other bikes. My wife always complained about the ride on the other bikes.
As for power, it is down a good bit from either of the other bikes. But you are not racing just cruising. The bike has plenty of power for two up riding. If you are in a situation where you might need the extra power to get around someone, well you probably shouldn't be doing it anyway.

Keep in mind that it is air cooled, and therefore hotter if you get stuck in traffic. Once you accept that fact, the Ultra is more comfortable for two-up riding.

Get a good intercom system and you'll feel like you're sitting on the couch at home with the wife jabbering in your ear while you're trying to watch football!

Well, my wife is usually jabbering about the lousy play while she's getting me a beer. Sometimes it's not all bad.

I think the limited is a great value. When you look at the price difference of an Ultra in 2 tone with ABS and security it's a no brainer. The 103 is a great motor, Heated grips are great - hands down. Pick your color and go for it man. I like the blue / black combo
